Extensive knowledge and implementation experience with Varitas Volume

Protector and Sun Cluster 3.1.

Our client is a large Middle East based engineering company specializing
in the reengineering and manufacturing of components, particularly for
pumps, valves and compressors. To support this they have at their
disposal state-of-the-art facilities, which include advanced component
digital measurement facilities, a corrosion laboratory and importantly a
precision casting foundry specializing in Stainless steel.
The ideal candidate will have experience in:
• Mechanical design of rotating equipment parts, material handling
systems, and onshore or offshore oil and gas or steel fabrications
industry
• Preparation of 3D models and 2D
drawings including BOM’s
• Preparation of calculations
(including FEA), 2D drawings, 3D models for rotating equipment parts and
structural steel work using Ansys, Ansys Design space, Cosmos Designer,
Solidworks and Autocad (or similar)
• Design calculations to relevant
international standards and finite element analysis of component
structures
• Understanding of reverse engineering
techniques and use of CMM arms for data capture with point tools and
laser scanning
• Material selection for rotating
equipment
• Design of material handling systems
(or similar) including mechanisms and hydraulics
• Understanding and preparation of
P&ID’s for various systems
preference would be a BEng/BSc
Engineering or similar technical qualification with a good understanding
of relevant codes of practice including ASME, PD5500 and BS 5950 or
equivalent. Middle East experience would also be of benefit though not
necessary.
This position will be permanently based in the Eastern Province of Saudi
Arabia. Competitive tax-fee salaries plus bonuses and related benefits
are offered.
