(Summary Job Description)

1. Nature and Purpose of Position:-

This Senior Management position exists for managing company's finance, accounts, systems, IT, cost, budget, audit, tax and compliance functions, both on strategic as well as operational level. Is responsible for administering the development and implementation of company-wide policies, procedures, goals and objectives-setting; performance management and business process improvement. Performs accounting and financial analyses and modeling; prepares and compiles budgets and financial reports for management and the board. Establishes and maintains internal controls and ensures tax compliance. Directs and ensures the effective and efficient management of Information Systems & Technology.
 


2. Reports to: Group Director Finance.



3. Supervises: Manager Accounts, Manager Information Systems, Cost & Budget Executives and Business / Functional Analysts.



4. Principal responsibility areas:-



Strategic planning-process management including goals and objective setting, delegation of authority and control to the appropriate level, performance review and control Financial planning, modeling, control and treasury management Financial and Management reporting
 

Development and implementation of Budgeting systems, cycles, procedures and the control of actual performance against the goals vs. budgetary allocations
 

Maintenance and accuracy of accounting procedures and control
Tax planning and management including timely filing of returns
Overseeing payables, receivables, and credit control
 

Total Audit including financial, operational and IT audits
Business Process Re-engineering and Enterprise Resource Planning
Information Systems and Technology Management
 

Data and Documentation control

Legal compliance and reporting


5. Qualification and experience :-

Chartered or Cost Management Accountant. At least 7-10 years of senior financial management experience, preferably in a manufacturing or process-intensive industry. Must have good analytical and administrative skills with strong business orientation.
