the field of Electrical, Mechanical & Civil Engineers with the following minimum
requirements:
JOB # 121
ENGINEER-I (MECHANICAL)
Experienced in power utility company with emphasis in design of various extra
high voltage substations (outdoor and Gas Insulated Switchgear)
Capable of mechanical design pertaining to Heating, Ventilating and Air
Conditioning (HVAC) system, plumbing system and fire fighting system.
Knowledge in design using the latest software in HVAC such as Elite CHVAC,
Carrier Hourly Analysis Program (HAP) or TRACE 600 as well as Elite Ductsize
program for air distribution.
Capable of performing hydraulic calculations using the latest hydraulic
software. Well versed in the latest engineering and industry standards and SEC
Engineering and Materials Standards.
Well versed in preparation of tender documents including scope of work and
technical specifications (SOW/TS) for lump sum turnkey (LSTK) substation
projects. Capable of handling contract procurement and associated activities.
Knowledge in project planning and scheduling from project identification stage
all the way to final project close out.
Must be computer literate and knowledgeable in operation of application design
software.

ENGINEER-I (CIVIL – SUBSTATION)
Experienced in power utility company with emphasis in design of various extra
high voltage substation (outdoor and Gas Insulated Switchgear-GIS) involving
equipment support foundations, control building, gantry structures, among
others.
Well versed in preparation of tender documents including Scope of Work
/Technical Specifications (SOW/TS) for lump sum turnkey (LSTK) substation
projects. Capable of handling contract procurement and associated activities.
Knowledge in project planning and scheduling from project identification stage
all the way to final project close out.
Abreast in applicable International standards (ASTM, etc) Knowledge in SEC
standards and specifications would be an advantage.
Computer literate and knowledgeable in operation of applicable design software.

high voltage overhead transmission lines ranging from 230kV up to 380kV.
Thorough knowledge in transmission lines design parameters including, plan and
profile, structure spotting, foundations designs, different types of
transmission line towers/ structures (i.e. lattices steel, steel monopoles,
etc.) sag and tension, various civil design calculation among others.
Well versed in preparation of tender documents including Scope of Work
/Technical Specifications (SOW/TS) for lump sum turnkey (LSTK) substation
projects. Capable of handling contract procurement and associated activities.
Knowledge in project planning and scheduling from project identification stage
all the way to final project close out.
Abreast in applicable International standards (ASTM, etc) Knowledge in SEC

Ten (10) years experience in power utility company or with consultants
performing work with major emphasis in the engineering of civil/structural
portion of high/extra voltage substation and transmission lines, i.e route
selection, structure spotting, structure selection, sag and tension
calculations, etc.
Candidate(s) shall be familiar with transmission structures and their foundation
details. Must posses a thorough experience in structural design of HV/EHV
transmission lines and should have good working experience with the use of
International codes and standards such as ACI, ASTM, AISC, UBC, ANSI, ASCE, etc,
international construction methods and practices, and testing and procedures.
Candidate(s) shall be well versed in preparation of tender documents including
Scope of Work and Technical Specification (SOW/TS) for lump sum turnkey (LSTK)
for transmission line project contracts. Capable of handling contract
procurement and it’s associated activities. Review and evaluation of project
technical proposals, detail design and calculations submitted by
consultants/contractor’s for high voltage/extra high voltage substation and
transmission line projects contracts.
Must be computer literate and ability to use Civil/Structural engineering design
software.
Preference will be given to Muslim and Arabic Speaking candidates who meet the
above qualifications.
