Job Description : Junior Director of Project Finance, Bahrain


Our client, a Middle East based Islamic investment bank is looking for a Junior Director of Project Finance to join its dynamic team in Bahrain. The successful candidate is required to lead a Project Finance team focusing on Infrastructure, Energy and Power.



Responsibilities:


• Manage the credit submission process and monitor and review existing facilities.
• Relationship management and negotiation with clients, partners and lending banks.
• Credit risk-management and administration of a portfolio of project financed assets.
• Advise on, raise capital and arrange Project Finance transactions in the region and internationally.
• Financial structuring, preparation of bids, analytical and quantitative analysis of different offer scenarios.



Requirements:


• University degree in Accounting, ideally CIA/ACCA/CPA/CFA/CA or equivalent, an additional degree in construction or engineering will be an advantage.
• At least 5 years of Infrastructure/Project Finance managerial experience at a top tier Islamic Investment Bank in the GCC.
• Knowledge of Project Finance, Infrastructure, Energy or Power transactions and fluency in Arabic as well as English.

Responsibilities:


• Monitoring the performance of portfolios.
• Developing new quantitatively-based products.
• Contributing to the production of client reports and marketing documents.
• Arranging capital for projects and eventually building infrastructure funds.
• Contributing to Equity Derivatives, Structured products and Quantitative Modeling.



Requirements:


• Must have an MBA, as well as level 1 or 2 CFA.
• At least 5 years of experience in a financial institution in the GCC markets or Western markets.
• Experience of projecting future financial statements for Greenfield Projects/existing companies.
• Strong financial modeling and documentation skills as well as modeling of cash flows for bonds/Sukuk/securitization etc.
• Must have experience arranging/advising/structuring Asset – backed or mortgage – backed securities and deal experience; especially in debt transactions.
