Job Description:
1. Knowledge of the communication transmission system
with background of SDH, DWDM, synchronization equipments
and fiber optic network (at least 2 years working in
this field).
2. Monitor the activities of contractor staff to ensure
that work schedule is being implemented properly and
evaluate the result to meet the accepted standards.
3. Follow up all outages/incidents that will happen in
his area on daily basis; this include telecom outages;
OSP issues; FOC cut incidents and E/M problems.
4. Provide advice on technical Part and operational
issues related to trouble scenarios and develop &
facilitate urgent temporary solutions to restore
outages.
5. Determine spare part, tools, materials and test
equipment requirement and their utilization in the RMCs.
6. Analyze PMR results and fault statistics and study
root causes for improvements.
7. Coordination with cable locator activities and
follow-up all steps required if cable needs to be
relocated
8. Communicate all technical and commercial discussion
with government office and Contractors in case of
relocations.
9. Visits job sites to oversee work in progress and
provide needed direction to contractor.
10. Develop inventory database and keep maintain and
update the record and update Fibers utilization plan and
Ducts drawing carrying the traffic in the assigned
areas.
11. Checking of site consumption according to drawings
and specification
12. Checking of material quality to be used in project

Tablespaces.
· Creating and Managing Control file, Redo log
files, Transportable Tablespaces.
· Creating and Managing Roles, Privileges,
Temporary tables etc.
· Enrolling users and maintaining system
security, Auditing.
· Using Oracle Utilities for Data Transfer, Data
Maintenance, and Database Administration.
· Using EMC Networker Storage Manager for
backups.
· Logical Backup and restore using legato backup
system.
· Using Oracle Flashback Technology.
· Using SQL*Loader.
· Perform DB Cloning in different Servers.
· Backup and recovery using Recovery Manager
(RMAN) Utility.
· Enhancement of Backup and recovery technology
to improve RTO
· Controlling and Monitoring User access to the
database and maintain tight security on DB
· Planning and implementing appropriate backup
and Recovery for the database.
· Configuring and Maintain Data Guard.
(Desirable)
· Monitoring the Oracle Alert, Trace File and
Events.
· Performance and Tuning.
· Oracle Patch installation and management.
Experience in designing databases, build and
deployment of critical applications
Experience in database administration of 10g/11g
databases on heterogeneous and complex DC environment
Experience in installing, configuring and
administering 10g/11g R2 RAC databases.
Experience in upgrading databases to higher versions
of oracle
Experience in configuring Disaster Recovery Site for
single instance and RAC databases
Capacity planning of critical production databases
Experience in various scenarios of Database Recovery
Cloning of production databases for creation of
DEV/UAT environments
Database performance monitoring, database parameters
tuning.
Experience in: -
Hands on experience for Configuring Oracle RAC with
ASM and integration with SUN or HP cluster
Performance tuning
Hands on experience on Database recovery using RMAN
utility/flash recovery.
Capable of: -
Effective communication, requirement tracking,
innovative and proactive in problem resolving
Mandatory Technical Skillset expected: -
Must have sound UNIX Shell scripting
Must have sound Oracle cluster knowledge
